The application below will begin the process of the Village's sidewalk reimbursement program. The regulations for the program are as follows:
- Application and approval must be complete prior to commencing any replacement of public sidewalk.
- The applicant must submit a simple plan showing the work to be done for the Village to consider.
- The applicant must submit at least two (2) bids for the project. The Village may approve a non-lowest bid at its discretion.
- The Village Manager and Streets Supervisor will consider the bids presented and accept or reject them and notify the applicant of such.
- A building permit and a right-of-way (ROW) permit will be required for the project regardless of whether it is done under this program. Please use the links to find the applications for each.
- A $2,500 refundable deposit submitted with the ROW permit application is required before work may commence to ensure project completion and restoration.
- Upon final inspection from the building department and approval of the completed work by the Streets Supervisor, the Village will reimburse the applicant for one-half (1/2) of the approved bid cost as well as the $2,500 deposit.
