Administration and Operations

The Village Board chooses to employ a professional village manager to serve as the chief administrative officer responsible for the day-to-day operations of services, leadership of the several departments in the Village, and the execution of policies set by the Board. The village manager is appointed by the village president with the advice and consent of the village board. Additionally, the village president, with the advise and consent of the Board, also appoints a village clerk whom is responsible for all records in the Village and serves as the Village's FOIA officer.

The Village operations are lead by four department heads for FinancePoliceStreets, and Utilities. Additionally, the Village manages several outside services with private companies to provide high-quality, cost-efficient, and scalable services for Building and Code Enforcement, IT, Engineering, and Legal Services. The Village Manager's Office also leads the daily functions of Development Services, including planning/zoning and economic development.
