Liquor Control Commission

The Local Liquor Control Commission (Liquor Commission) is responsible for the execution of the Illinois Liquor Control Act of 1934. It holds the authority to issue, suspend, and revoke all liquor licenses and to examine the books and records of applicants/licensees seeking a new license or a renewal whom has received notice of revocation or suspension.

Meetings and Membership

The Village President serves as the Liquor Commissioner, and, therefore, is the chief administrative officer of the commission. Additionally, two Trustees of the Village Board are appointed buy the Village President to sit on the Liquor Commission.
